Answers for families

Here are the questions families ask us most. Don’t see yours? Call us at (209) 808-9265.

Getting started

How do we get started?

Call us at (209) 808-9265 or send a request online. We’ll talk about your loved one’s needs, routines, and schedule, then put together a care plan with you.

How much does home care cost?

Cost depends on how many hours of care are needed and what kind of help your loved one needs. Call us for a clear quote based on your situation.

How soon can care start?

Tell us your timeline when you call or request care, and we’ll do our best to match it, including after a hospital discharge.

Which areas do you serve?

We serve every city in the San Francisco Bay Area, including Alameda, Contra Costa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Marin, Solano, Napa and Sonoma counties. Our office is in San Lorenzo.

Schedules & services

Is there a minimum number of hours?

Yes. Each visit is at least 4 hours. We offer care from 4 hours up to 24 hours a day.

Do you offer live-in care?

Yes, for short periods, such as recovery after surgery or a hospital stay, or while family caregivers are away.

Can the care plan change over time?

Yes. Needs change, and we adjust hours and services as they do. Just let us know.

Do you provide medical care?

We provide non-medical home care: personal care, daily living support, companionship, respite, and specialized support for conditions like dementia and Parkinson’s. For skilled nursing or therapy, your doctor can refer you to a home health agency, and we can work alongside them.

Paying for care

What payment options do you accept?

We accept private pay and long-term care insurance, and we work with VA benefits and other government programs. Call us and we’ll help you check what your coverage includes.

Does Medicare pay for home care?

Original Medicare usually doesn’t pay for non-medical home care on its own, but some Medicare Advantage plans and other programs include in-home support. Call us and we’ll help you find out what your plan covers.

Our caregivers

Are your caregivers screened and trained?

Yes. Every Ivory Link caregiver is listed on California’s Home Care Aide Registry, has passed a background check, and completes state-required training before starting and every year after.

Are you licensed?

Yes. Ivory Link Home Care Agency LLC is a licensed California Home Care Organization, license number HCO 074700255.

What if my loved one doesn’t click with their caregiver?

Tell us. A good match matters, and we’ll work with you to find a caregiver who fits better.

Still have questions?

We’re happy to talk it through. There’s no obligation.
